Full Review of Weight Watchers Mobile for Easier Weight Loss

Weight Watchers is a weight loss tracking program with a worldwide community to share success with. You can use the app to track your progress, plan menu of the day, see what cafes and restaurants around offer healthy options that match your plan and track activity. Is it worth a try? Let’s see.

What I liked most about Weight Watchers design – large and clear buttons and contrast colors. Designers used white background with damped orange accents that help to notice key elements and buttons. It fits the needs of the target audience – you need to enter your data: weight, foods consumed, activities performed to get a score. I enjoy such designs and find them pleasant to an eye and convenient in use. The menu is super intuitive, so even if you don’t have too much experience using apps, this one brings no difficulties. I give the design of Weight Watchers a 10 because it's well-thought-out indeed.

Key Features

This mobile app for iOS and Android can be downloaded for free. This is a handy tool for dieters as it helps to lose weight in an effective and controlled way: the app calculates your calories and gives you suggestions on your eating plan as well as encourages you for a more active lifestyle. Users receive SmartPoints for healthy eating and sticking to their diet plan and FitPoints for workouts, walking or moving more.

With the help of Weight Watchers app, you can shop for grocery and plan your menu for the week. Large-scale community helps share experience and find support from like-minded people with the same goals.

In fact, you don’t have to make any calculations on your own: the app will do that for you right. By earning points, you get the additional motivation to lose weight. You can use barcode scanning to learn more about foods you buy, add them to your recipe library. By the way, the app offers delicious recipes for dishes that meet your dietary needs.

The only thing to note is that most of these functions and options are available to subscribers. The in-app purchases cost a lot: for a 1-month plan you are to pay $49.99 and for a 12-month plan – $219.99, what is quite a lot. However, Weight Watchers is still one of the top in-app weight loss programs for Android 4.1 and later and iOS 9.0 and later. I would give this app a 10 for its extensive set of features, but it is only 9, because most of them are not free.

The performance of the latest app version is great: your FitPoints get synced real-time. You can access online coaching and communicate with other dieters all over the world. All app crashes are fixed. The menu is easy-to-use, straightforward and clean. As a user, I haven’t encountered any problems when using it. For convenience and stable performance, I rate it 10/10.

Bottom Line

I would recommend it for those who want fast and safe results in losing weight, appreciate using a high-quality digital product and don’t mind paying for it. If you are searching for a free app to download for your Android or iOS, Weight Watchers mobile app may not be for you – as its functionality available for free is not enough for a great experience with Weight Watchers program.
